That was when I compared sorting performance over time. I was able to get Postgres to build back to the point where 64-bit architecture support was added. From Andrew Dunstans comment later in this thread I'm guessing that was 7.2 That was basically at the point where 64-bit architecture support was added. It looks like the earliest date on the graphs in the talk are 2002-11-27 which matches the 7.3 release date. I think building earlier versions would have been doable if I had built them in 32-bit mode. -- greg
