Yeah, when commenting on v4-0003 about including outer join relids in the assertion, I had a feeling that it might take the discussion off topic -- sorry that it did. That's why I suggested moving this part of discussion to a separate thread. I still think that cross-checking outer join relids isn't a requirement for committing your patches, so I'm totally fine if you end up with a version that doesn't assert outer join relids. - Richard
