Thanks for the report! I'd seen the same failed
Assert("root->hasLateralRTEs") in the core tests with an earlier draft
of this patch, but I thought it was resolved. Obviously not ... I'll
look closer tomorrow.
As for the speed question, I'd not poked at the details of Claude's
claim, but I guess I should have.
