What I was hoping to achieve is consensus on a reasonably well bounded solution. I'm not going to push something that others are objecting to, but if we can agree on the idea and what's needed for it to be acceptable then I'm willing to work towards that, provided it doesn't require going back 10 versions and looking at every single change.
