I know that I can cast. I'm wondering if it would be possible/desirable to implement automatic casting. Automatic casting works already for functions defined to take bigint and you pass in an integer. But not for these functions that take any type. /Colin -- Sent via pgsql-hackers mailing list (pgsql-hackers@postgresql.org) To make changes to your subscription: http://www.postgresql.org/mailpref/pgsql-hackers
