Not directly, but the choice of processor influences which chipsets/mainboards are available, which in turn has some impact on the number of RAM slots. (According to our hardware supplier, beyound 8 GB, the price per GB goes up sharply.) Unfortunately, it seems that the Core 2 Duo mainboards do not change that much in this area. -- Florian Weimer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> BFK edv-consulting GmbH http://www.bfk.de/ Durlacher Allee 47 tel: +49-721-96201-1 D-76131 Karlsruhe fax: +49-721-96201-99 ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 9: In versions below 8.0, the planner will ignore your desire to choose an index scan if your joining column's datatypes do not match
