What kind of RAID?  It's _easy_ to get faster disk that 6 drives in
RAID5, even if they're 15,000 RPM.  The rotation speed is the least
of your problems in many RAID implementations.
Also, the controller means a lot. I'd rather have a 4 disk RAID-10 with an Areca card with BBU Cache than a 16 disk RAID 5 on an adaptec (with or without cache... :) )

Oh come on... Adaptec makes a great skeet.
