The last couple days I have been fixing bugs and working on the video drivers. Very soon I'm hoping to write the text layout engine that will make 'real' apps possible in PicoGUI and port PicoGUI to some actual handheld platforms. There's a good chance I'll be getting an inexpensive VTech Helio soon due to it's good Linux support. I have been offered a donation of an Agenda VR3, but the shipping from Portugal might be a problem :) I have this Philips Nino, but it's on hold for the moment until I muster up the courage to port PicoGUI to WinCE. Heck, I was reading the perl manpages and I might even write an XS module to resurrect the old perl client lib! Documentation is on the todo list too Anyway, yesterday I comitted a new app, 'gremlin', that is good for stress-testing apps with random input. I already used it to find a memory leak and crash bug that I fixed, and I found a couple more that I noted but haven't fixed yet. I'm also about to commit some bugfixes and improvements (a few that make the linear* drivers smaller) to the video subsystem, including a new benchmarking mode that should help with the driver coding.
