After hacking at the Linux-VR kernel for a while and writing a touchpanel driver compatible with it, I have pgserver and several apps running on the VTech Helio. The grayscale hardware on the Helio is rather crummy, so I ended up forcing it to monochrome mode. There are also a few wierd issues with the client/server interaction, for example all buttons are blank. As soon as I fix the major problem(s) I'll post a demo image, kernel patches, and compilation instructions on pgui.sourceforge.net This also means we're in need of a onscreen keyboard or handwriting recognition app. Brandon expressed some interest in doing the keyboard. I'd like to write the handwriting recognizer, but I don't think I have the time at the moment. (As a side note to smartdata: how have you been getting text input into the Chipslice? Have you written some sort of keyboard already, or do you need one too?) -- perl -e'socket S,2,1,tcp;connect S,pack(H16,"0200029a80692d32").\0x8;print grep!/=/,<S>' _______________________________________________ Pgui-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/pgui-devel
