I downloaded the 20010502 snapshot today to get back on the ball with pgui.
the configure script is missing, so I tried to run autoconf to generate the
configure script and recieved errors about not finding any libs or perl
(which are there.)
this is the same development platform that compiled 20010411 perfectly.
I also tried to run autogen.sh and that also failed (even though the INSTALL
file hinted that tarball users did not need it.
