Ok. I just fixed the console-hanging problem. There was some code I added for the
helio framebuffer, but forgot to test the i386 framebuffer again. It's in CVS now.
If you want to make the change without updating the CVS code, just find the '#ifdef
CONFIG_LINUX_MIPS' section and delete the ioctl() line between #else and #endif
I would still recommend finding out why the autoconf script isn't working. The more
recent releases include some major changes to the video subsystem that break
compatibility with older themes and some applications.
I ran pgserver with blackout on my system after making this change, and it ran mostly
OK. The mouse and keyboard work, but I was having some problems with the color.
I was running it in 16-bit color, and according to fbset it was in 5-6-5 packed pixel
mode, which is what PicoGUI supports for 16-bit color. But, the colors were messed up.
A good way to test the color mapping is by compiling in the video tests, and running
'pgserver -s2'
If you use 16-bit mode, let me know if you have this problem. It could be specific to
my video card. (Matrox G450 dual-head)

To the systems programmer, users and applications server only to provide a
