The system we've been using to build Helio binaries is in the picolinux
CVS. It doesn't build everything from source, it just takes a
collection of config files and binaries and assembles them into a ROM
file. This is all you need if you want to play with the init scripts,
or add your own applications. The kernel source we're using is in a
separate directory in the picolinux CVS. The pgserver binary in
picolinux was built straight from the code in picogui CVS. The config
file used to build it is also in CVS.

Note that to do any of this you will need the cross-compiler from
http://linux-vr.org/tools.html

You'll need to download the picolinux CVS. There are instructions at
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=26771
Then just run 'make' as root and you'll have a sparkly new Helio rom
