Loic, Well, I guess mainly it seems like a messy solution. And I know it's not meant to be permanent, so if you think it will be easy to pull back out once I have the new network architecture in place, that will be fine.
However, I've been having trouble getting the patch to cooperate with the build system... SMARTDATA's gen-pgserver-conf isn't building correctly now. Also, the people involved with packaging picogui into distros should probably evaluate the patch also. How about I give you read/write access to the picogui CVS, then you check in the patch as a separate branch. We can then evaluate and possibly modify it before mergeing it back into the main branch.
