Well, I guess mainly it seems like a messy solution. And I know it's not meant to be 
permanent, so if you think it will be easy to pull back out once I have the new 
network architecture in place, that will be fine.

However, I've been having trouble getting the patch to cooperate with the build 
system... SMARTDATA's gen-pgserver-conf isn't building correctly now. Also, the people 
involved with packaging picogui into distros should probably evaluate the patch also.

How about I give you read/write access to the picogui CVS, then you check in the patch 
as a separate branch. We can then evaluate and possibly modify it before mergeing it 
back into the main branch.

If this is fine with you, just let me know which sourceforge username to add.
