cli_python was designed for python 2.2, as its classes are new-style classes
(descending from object). However, I don't remember using other 2.2 features
that would break on 2.1. Your best guess is to remove all references to
"object" and try to run the samples.
However, my advice is to try 2.2 a bit harder. A search for
"python 2.2 uclibc" on google shows me that the build may be troublesome,
but is possible. And 2.2 has lots of advantages to offer in return.
