If you set the PG_WP_SIDE property of the scroll widget to PG_S_TOP or PG_S_BOTTOM it should automatically become a horizontal scrollbar. If you want an easy way to scroll something horizontally and/or vertically, you can use the scrollbox widget. You use it like a normal box widget, but it includes horizontal and vertical scrollbars that appear if necessary. Additionally, the scrollbox widget has extra code to support things like scroll wheels.
