Hi,

I'm looking around for some more information about picogui.
Would be cool if you could shed some light on me :-)

1) I read in the archive that pgserver can be used as a lib so that tcp/ip is not
required. This sounds very good to me. How do I achieve this ? Is there a
configure-switch or do I have to fiddle around manually ?

2) I need direct access to the display framebuffer from my application. Is there a
good way to do this ? Does this require work within picogui ? I read about the
pgBitmap and shared memory and stuff which sounds already promising. But when used as
a lib pgserver is in the same address space as the application. Any hints on this ?
Basically I need access to the framebuffer to copy a "background" picture there (which
has to be updated several times per second)

3) Can I have widgets overlapping other widgets (or overlapping the background or the
background widget) ? Does picogui always use the full screen ?

4) How is the i18n support ? I read unicode is supported, ft2 is supported. Are there
already functions to switch the language during runtime ? (ala
QApplication::installTranslator()?)

Thanks for any hints
Alex
