The recommended, first time experience should indeed be the ppa way - and it 
should be described as such everywhere.

On the other hand, you can't stop Linux users from doing what they want. But 
then they should bear the consequences and not complain like little children ;-)

I for one like the get.pharo.org way a lot as well, and at the same time I have 
used the ppa install to fix the dependencies on some machines.
