Sounds more like a hack than a solution :) Ben Sounds fine to me, meaning "in this feature freeze beta period of Pharo 3, what is the minimal change required to address the user concern of there being no feedback to his action"  I guess you are thinking of a more complete solution with some kind of File Chooser to specify where to save the file.  That should probably wait for Pharo 4.
