Possible with a warning (muteable) to avoid unintended executions, and
enable unattended (i.e. scripted) upgrades.

Smalltalk snapshotAndUpgrade
or
Smalltalk saveImageAndUpgrade

That way the images current state is saved or snapshotted and if the upgrade messes everything up, you are back to where you were before the upgrade.
