Is just a resource download, I am running an Iliad web site and two
applications for over a year downloading resources like that and never
failed, so no disasters.

As Phil said, that is not suitable for versioning, but there is nothing
stopping you from implementing or adapting Monticello to the best version
management you can imagine.
