The same issue happens with the inspector. And it also concerns maximization (so, once maximized, the next window also starts with the maximized size).
I opened another issue and committed associated fixes: https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/15294/Playground-and-Inspector-should-not-store-the-size-on-minimize-or-maximize Could you test this as well?
