Now on desktop, the preference is named "showTextEditingState" in the
"morphic" category. For the Watery theme the focus indication takes priority
(so you just see the slightly rounded corners with red in the corners).
Non-focused text panes show a whole red rectangle. Other themes that use a
dotted focus indication are more obvious.
Of course, our modified browsers show "Modified" in the tile bar :-).
