One distinction I understand is that this site is for Users, not developers. So there are not planned to be too many links back to the dev site. The idea is to have it self consistent without too many external links. If we had a decent place to host the files that would be ideal. I'm not sure we have any true Pharo users yet (who are not core developers) but the idea was that the FAQ on the new site would be different.
