For linux you can just download exupery-vm-0.15-linux.tz.

I had to rename it to exupery-vm-0.15-linux.tar.gz and uncompress it. There
you will find a "build" directory and inside there you will have the
"squeak" file with execution permission.

so, you could to something like this:

$ /home/mariano/exuperyVM/build/squeak /home/images/myImage.image

This VM includes most of the needed plugins and the closure support. So, you
can use it for latests pharo images.
