I'm in
Pharo1.0beta
Latest update: #10414
too and I DO HAVE the method #onBlinkCursor
in TextMorph.
It's included in both changesets at
http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=1039
and the last one (BlinkingCursor.2.cs) was the base
for inclusion.
Try updating with a fresh core from the website...
