It is just a configuration map for MonticelloConfigurations. It is used when you evaluate "VMMaker updateFromServer", but it only works if you have MonticelloConfigurations in your image. But the format is very simple so you can just read it from http://squeaksource.com/VMMaker/update-dtl.2.mcm to figure out what the packages are. It would be good if we could have something similar for Pharo, so if you can make this work with Metacello or one of the loaders for Pharo, that would be great. The list of packages came from the "recipe" that Andreas uses for building Windows VMs, plus packages that I added (OSProcessPlugin etc).
