Ok, well obviously I need someone to define the problem if the fix was just to 
return 127.0.0.1 as the result of localhostAddress. 
But I *think* someone wants to know what the public interface address is, so 
they can choose to bind to a particular IF, or publish it somehow. 

But maybe I'm wrong..
