#openPreferenceBrowser  can be removed because it is not used.

#closeUnnecessaryWindows  should be adapted so that it doesnt take into  
account the PreferenceBRower. FOr example:

closeUnnecessaryWindows
        SystemWindow allSubInstancesDo:
                [:window | window delete]
