It is the same for every external project that is included in the image. Global refactoring happens in Pharo which then as well touches such external projects (Zinc for instance). The only way is that the maintainers update their projects from time to time > multiple repositories is tedious and counterproductive. if you update your image from time to time you should get the changes for free I think.
