I'm seriously considering putting effort in a Windows py2exe version and sell it for 1 euro (like the price of an iphone app) as a service for those who don't want to go through the hassle of installing all the dependencies themselves and running it from source. I hope no-one objects to that (of course the source and linux installers (such as PPA) are free).
