Dear all Our reading this week is Jenann Ismael's piece, "Decision and the open future", available here: http://www.jenanni.com/papers/Decision%20and%20the%20Open%20Future.pdf
We have two footnotes to last week's discussion. 1. From Simon Blackburn: On Friday issues were raised about the wisdom of defining conditional probability in the standard Kolmogorov way. This is in fact a very tricky business. Participants puzzled by it or interested in it might enjoy a (quite difficult) paper by Ian Rumfitt, which also raises a great many issues about conditionals, Lewis's proofs, etc. It is available at this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/td0hy0klvz51619/Rumfitt.pdf 2. From Hugh Mellow: This, if I may say so, is also relevant: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32992546/MMR-03-Conditionals.pdf See you on Friday.
