This July, Cambridge will host the BSPS (10-11 July), the Joint Session (11-13 July), and the BSET (14-16 July).
CALL FOR PAPERS -- JOINT SESSION There are two calls for papers, both ending *1 February*. If you are a graduate student, and can trim down one of your papers to 2500 words, I *strongly* recommend that you submit it to the Graduate Session of the Joint Session, here: http://www.aristoteliansociety.org.uk/the-joint-session/the-postgraduate-session/ If you are not a graduate student, but have an idea you'd like to road-test which you can express in 2000 words, please submit it to the Open Session, here: http://www.conf.phil.cam.ac.uk/ CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS -- ALL CONFERENCES The scale of these conferences is a bit daunting for me: 3 conferences, spanning 7 days, with about 400 delegates. Consequently, I am looking to recruit some volunteers assistants. If you are a graduate student who is thinking of attending one (or more) of these conferences, read on. Assistants would be expected to help with: - setup of the conference(s); - registration of delegates; - general stewarding of delegates. In return for being an assistant at a conference, you'll get: - free registration for that conference; - free lunches at that conference; - and maybe even a snazzy T-shirt. (You should, though, be prepared for the fact that you might have to miss a couple of sessions of the conference in question.) I expect that I will need (roughly) four assistants for BSPS, eight for the Joint Session, and two for BSET. If you're interested in volunteering, then just drop me an email *by February 28*, stating which of the conference(s) you would like to assist with. All the best, Tim -- Tim Button, *The Limits of Realism*, Oxford University Press, 2013.
