Conference - How Universal are Universals?

An interdisciplinary conference on the problem of universals. We shall
explore what seems to be (but might not be) the same problem in different
traditions and different areas of the same tradition (including Ancient,
Mediaeval, Byzantine, Early Modern Philosophy, Philosophy of Science,
Analytic Philosophy, and philosophy from outside the tradition that goes
back to Plato and Aristotle).

Attendance is free, although places are limited. Lunches and refreshments
are provided. Anyone wishing to attend is kindly asked to register at
