Dear all, The next meeting of the Decision Theory Seminar will be at 11AM ON THURSDAY 25 FEBRUARY in the PHILOSOPHY COMMON ROOM. This week we are fortunate to have Emily Adlam (DAMTP) as our guest. Emily will be talking about decision theory and the Everett interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. However no background in quantum mechanics is required for this session.
The reading, which this week is optional, consists of two papers: Wallace, D. (2010). The Everett interpretation. Manuscript Adlam, E. (2015). The problem of confirmation in the Everett interpretation. arXiv: 1504.01063v1. Emily writes: 'I will not assume any knowledge of quantum mechanics or the Everett interpretation, but people who have had a brief look at either of these papers might gain more from the talk.' As usual these papers are available at http://yliu.net/teaching/lt16 Everyone is welcome. Best wishes, Arif -- Arif Ahmed Faculty of Philosophy University of Cambridge Sidgwick Avenue Cambridge CB3 9DA http://www.phil.cam.ac.uk/people/teaching-research-pages/ahmed/ahmed-page _____________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the CamPhilEvents mailing list, or change your membership options, please visit the list information page: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEvents List archive: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEventsArchive Please note that CamPhilEvents doesn't accept email attachments.
