The Cambridge Forum for Legal & Political Philosophy will host its third monthly seminar of the 2016-17 academic year on Wednesday, December 7th, at 3:00pm, in Room B16 of the Law Faculty Building. [PLEASE NOTE THAT ROOM B16, IN THE BASEMENT OF THE LAW FACULTY BUILDING, IS NOT OUR USUAL ROOM. THE SHIFT OF LOCATION FOR THIS SEMINAR IS DUE TO THE OCCURRENCE OF EXAMINATIONS ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF THE BUILDING.] The seminar will be chaired by Maxime Lepoutre, who is currently a PhD student in the Philosophy Faculty.
For the reading, Maxime has chosen an article by Jason Brennan on "The Right to a Competent Electorate." (Lest you infer that Maxime has chosen the reading in response to the catastrophe that occurred in the USA on Nov 8th, I should note that he selected Brennan's article several days ahead of the American election.) The article is freely available here: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1467-9213.2011.699.x/epdf _________________________________ Matthew H.
