The Cambridge Forum for Legal & Political Philosophy will host its fourth monthly seminar of the 2016-17 academic year on Thursday, January 19th, at 3:00pm, in Room B16 of the Law Faculty Building. [PLEASE NOTE THAT ROOM B16 IS AGAIN THE VENUE OF THE SEMINAR.] The seminar will be chaired by Dr Thomas Adams, who is currently a Fellow of Corpus Christi College.
For the reading, Tom has chosen about three quarters of a paper by Mark Greenberg, "Legislation as Communication? Legal Interpretation and the Study of Linguistic Communication." Unless you're really keen to read the whole paper, you should omit sections 2 and 3 and concentrate on the remaining sections: http://www.oxfordscholarship.com/view/10.1093/acprof:oso/9780199572380.001.0001/acprof-9780199572380-chapter-10 _________________________________ Matthew H.
