*Kant Reading Group*
*2pm on Mondays, starting on 9th October, in the **Graduate Common Room
(Philosophy Faculty)*

In Michaelmas, the Kant Reading Group will be looking at the *Metaphysical
Foundations of Natural Science*. We will read about 12 pages per session,
starting with the Preface in Week 1 (programme below).


All are welcome; no prior knowledge of Kant is required. Feel free to drop
in when you can!

*Week 1 – 9th October* Preface

*Week 2 – 16th October* First Chapter – Phoronomy (up to but not including
the Proposition)

*Week 3 – 23rd October* First Chapter – Phoronomy (Proposition until end)
&

Second Chapter – Dynamics (up to but not including Proposition 3)

*Week 4 – 30th October *Second Chapter – Dynamics (Proposition 3 up to but
not including Proposition 7)

*Week 5 – 6th November *Second Chapter – Dynamics (Proposition 7 up to but
not including General Remark)

*Week 6 – 13th November* Second Chapter – Dynamics (General Remark until
end)

*Week 7 – 20th November* Third Chapter – Mechanics

*Week 8 – 27th November *Fourth Chapter – Phenomenology


Programme may be adjusted depending on the group's progress.
