The Search is Over 19 October 2017, 17:00 - 20:00 Rooms SG1 & SG2, Alison Richard Building, 7 West Road, Cambridge This is a panel discussion and book launch for 'A New Dictionary of Art'. It takes a crowdsourced approach to the question 'What is Art' and has over 3000 definitions of the term 'Art' found online. Professor Derek Matravers has called it 'both splendid and splendidly bonkers' and also says it has 'serious scholarly merit' and should be required reading for all students of the philosophy of aesthetics.
