Dear all,

Just a reminder that the Cambridge Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) group
is holding a mentoring lunch with Professor Rae Langton on Monday 13th
November.

Time: 12-1pm
Location: Grad Common Room, Philosophy Department (First room on the
right when you go into the Philosophy Grad Centre).

For those who aren't familiar with the work that MAP does, MAP is a
collection of students in philosophy departments across the US and UK.
The aim of MAP is to examine and address issues of minority
participation in academic philosophy (i.e. those of marginalised
identities currently underrepresented in philosophical circles,
including women, people of colour, LGBT+ people, disabled people, and
those from working-class backgrounds).

The mentoring lunch will be an informal opportunity to discuss issues
relating to minority participation in philosophy, experiences in higher
education/ academia, and to ask for advice on careers in academia/
further study. Undergraduates, MPhils, PhD students, and postdocs are
all more than welcome to come along. If anyone is working on graduate
applications currently, please feel free to come and get specific advice
on your application.

All are welcome, but note that the experiences, contributions and
questions from those of marginalised identities will be centered.

All the best,

Azita and Laura
