Dear all, I’d like to announce a new reading group on non-ideal political philosophy. The plan is to meet weekly during Lent (and maybe Easter) on Wednesday 4-5pm.
Our first meeting will be: 23rd Jan — Graduate Common Room We will be reading chapter 1 (‘Realism’) of Raymond Geuss’ Philosophy and Real Politics. The chapter can be accessed online via a Raven account: https://www.dawsonera.com/abstract/9781400835515 We are looking to structure our reading group as follows: Week 1: an introduction to non-ideal theory; Weeks 2-7: works of non-ideal theory; Week 8: why non-ideal rather than ideal theory? Suggestions (particularly for readings in weeks 2-7) are more than welcome! Please don’t hesitate to send an email to me ([email protected]) or Nick Clanchy ([email protected]) if you would like to join the group, be kept in the loop or have reading suggestions. Best wishes, Paula Keller (MPhil student in Philosophy) _____________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the CamPhilEvents mailing list, or change your membership options, please visit the list information page: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEvents List archive: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEventsArchive Please note that CamPhilEvents doesn't accept email attachments.
