Henrique Gomes (Cambridge) will give a talk on Monday 7 January at 16.00
in MR5 (meeting room 5, ie basement), at CMS:
Title: Gauge theory and boundaries: a complicated relationship.
Abstract: I argue that we do not understand gauge theory as well as we
think we do, when boundaries are present. I will briefly explain the
conceptual and technical issues that arise at the boundary. I will then
propose a tentative resolution, which requires us to think of theories not
in spacetime, but in field-space.
Some of us will have tea in CMS café beforehand. Hope to see you ther...
