Dear all, The Kinds of Intelligence reading group is a weekly reading group focusing on issues in the philosophy of cognitive science - focussing especially on the puzzles presented by nonhuman intelligence, of both the animal and the artificial varieties. We meet weekly on Thursdays at 11am-12.30pm, in the Upstairs Boardroom at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence at 16 Mill Lane.
The first meeting of the year is tomorrow (October 3rd), where we’ll be discussing Lisa Miracchi's 2019 article, A Competence Framework for Artificial Intelligence Research <https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/09515089.2019.1607692>. A full programme for the term is attached, or can alternatively be found at http://henryshevlin.com/kinds-of-intelligence-reading-group-2019/ <http://henryshevlin.com/kinds-of-intelligence-reading-group-2019/> - where you can also subscribe to the group’s mailing list. Everyone with interests in this area is very welcome to come along; we’d be delighted to see you there.
