Dear All,

Emma and I are starting a reading group focusing on decision theory and its
philosophy. You are all very welcome to join! We are going to start by reading
David Krepps book 'Notes on the Theory of Choice', meeting every other week to
discuss the problems at the end of the chapters. To begin with, this will
involve quite a lot of "learning decision theory", but as time goes on we will
hopefully be able to apply these tools to philosophical problems and
investigate the shortcomings of classical decision theory.

A tentative schedule is given below.

We intend to meet on Mondays, between 16.00-17.30 (though, this time is
negotiable). If fewer than six people want to join (heaven forfend) we intend
to meet in person as it's hard to do this stuff without being able to write
things down.
