You can rebuild them on 8.0 and install them, yes. You might need a few other things too, but it is possible. Keep in mind though that while running 4.3.0 using my RPMs or rebuilt RPMs on 8.0 will work (depending on if one does it right or not of course), it is not supported. Please don't file bug reports unless you are 100% positive that a given problem is not caused by your efforts. ;o) -- Mike A.
