In all seriousness: in what way is mutt _not_ a good replacement for pine? Sure, it's got configurationitis, but these days, aren't people who are looking for an e-mail client that Just Works (a la Havoc) going to go for an X11-based option? Or webmail, even.
Not for root accounts, or slow modem connections. I tried mutt a few years ago, and went back to pine. I guess I can always use less, but for a quick mail check or reply pine has been great. Guess it's time to learn the emacs mail mode...
