According to what I read, Nigeria has an incredible percentage of crime. It is unsafe to travel there. Some who have been taken in by the Nigerian email scheme (I am the son/daughter/widow of the General Mbuke, I need to transfer $75 million US Dollars etc etc) have actually travelled to Nigeria to pick up the money or make a contact and have been abducted and never heard from again.
