There may be some confusion here.

According tio PHP, the first Zonophone bankruptcy occurred in 1901 - the
sale of goods took place on Oct 28, 1901, in NYC.

Johnson's new Victor Co did acquire the (re-organized) Universal Talking
Machine Mfg Co (Zono) in Sept 1903, but not from Seaman himself. The 135k was
paid out in 12 installments to G&T.

Seaman would later re-appear to handle some of Edison's phono advertising
in the 1920s.
