I was told by a vendor at one of the shows - I don't remember who know - to try ponds cold cream. I have used it on a number of cylinders and it will clean light to medium mold off pretty well - especially if the mold is white in color. The cylinders look good black and shiny and most played fair - had background noise but are still understandable. if the mold is grayish or real heavy pond's doesn't take it off. It's worth a try as it doesn't seem to hurt anything.
