That's very, very sad news. I had no idea he was ill, but that makes sense in retrospect that he decided to sell off the bulk of his collection so suddenly this past year. I was very fortunate to have been invited (through a friend) to attend the last of his October parties in 2003, and to have been able to acquire one of his phonographs at the last Union show as well.
He was a true gentleman, in my limited contact with him, and graciously allowed me to post on my webpage a number of photographs I took of his collection that day. Adam Dubin
