Phonofolk, I recently purchased a Columbia BD (aka The Majestic) which is original and complete with exception of a missing nickel platter trim ring. This is the large, rounded mahogany cabinet with the big 23 1/2" nickel horn. It has a 12" platter. There are 4 small screw holes in the motorboard where the nickel trim ring would be mounted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be attending the Wayne, NJ, show next week. Thanks for all of your help. I believe the Diamond Disks are 150 threads per inch. I am drawing on old knowledge here, so someone correct me if I am wrong. As for the more important part of your question, no, I have not heard of it. Could it have been an advertising, or promotional piece for the Ediphone machines? The title doesn't sound like one for an entertainment cylinder. I recently bought a decent machine on eBay BUT the potmetal reproducer is falling apart. It has the metal snap-on cover with metal diaphragm. Can supply photos. I don't know how to post photos to the list.
